Tulia's tulip image that highlights our approach to mental health.

Brain and mental wellness are foundational to the overall success of a person’s life. Sleep, nutrition, exercise, past injuries, family histories, and social networks influence a person’s mental health.

Your care at Tulia includes looking at this “big picture” of your brain and mental health and then determining a plan to holistically enhance and better your health. Tulia’s philosophy is having various options — like a “toolbox” for your health — available to help improve a person’s mental health. For some, simply changing long-held sleep, exercise, and nutrition habits make the difference needed for mental health. For others, Tulia explores options, such as TMS, ECT, supplements, and medicines, all to tailor an individualized approach to mental health care.

A Continuum of Care

Intake / Health Review

We request lab work for every new patient to ensure we gain an understanding of a patient’s overall health, which in turn impacts brain health. We then follow up with a detailed clinical assessment of a patient’s mental health, looking at key health indicators to include social, biological, psychological, and spiritual factors.

Goal Setting

Your provider creates a treatment plan based on your intake results. Our plans often take a unique brain-body approach to treatment to address the underlying issues that cause symptoms. Tulia believes in using the least toxic, most effective solutions. However, when medication is necessary, it is prescribed as part of a complete treatment program.

Therapy and Treatment

Tulia’s mental health plan addresses issues found during intake to promote overall well-being. The specific type of treatment recommended depends on the individual’s diagnosis, symptoms, and personal circumstances. Therapies can include counseling, medication, and psychotherapy.

Review, Possibly Repeat

Your provider will review how the treatment works and adjust your plan as needed. During the review phase, we check a patient’s initial goals and either change those goals or choose a different type of therapy to support the patient.

Tulia Takes a Whole-Health Approach

Amen Clinics takes a whole-health approach to mental health.

Tulia partners with the Amen Clinics to access their brain specialists for unique patient situations. Tulia may recommend that patients schedule a SPECT Imaging scan with Amen Clinics to aid in diagnosing various brain-related conditions.

Amen Clinics are a group of medical facilities founded by Dr. Daniel Amen. The clinics focus on brain health and offer comprehensive evaluations and treatment for neurological and psychiatric conditions.

Tulia and the Amen Clinics believe in a whole-health approach that considers the entirety of a person’s physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being when diagnosing and treating health issues. Instead of focusing on specific symptoms or diseases, this approach looks at the individual, recognizing that different aspects of a person’s life are interconnected and can impact their overall health and well-being.
